• A MESSAGE FROM FR. CHRIS

Charter Spectrum is dropping WWLP from its ENTIRE Berkshire channel lineup.  This is, of course, a terrible decision as it further isolates the Berkshires from the rest of the diocese and state.  Specifically it means local Catholics will not have access to either "The Chalice of Salvation" or "Real to Reel" from WWLP.  Contrary to what Charter has suggested, there is no FCC requirement for them to eliminate WWLP.  Congressman Neal and Senator Markey are aware of this situation and advocating, but as of yet Charter has remained steadfast.

You are strongly encouraged to speak out on this terrible decision by calling Charter's Washington, D.C. number (202) 621-1923.  Flood that number with complaints.  Please also write letters to Congressman Neal and Senators Markey and Warren encouraging them to keep up the pressure on Charter.

MISSION STATEMENT

  • The Saint Agnes Young Adult Group is a parish-based community of young adults, who seek to draw closer to Jesus Christ and His Church through worship, study, discussion, fellowship, and service.

VISION AND GOALS

  • We envision the Church as a place where young adults feel at home and are empowered to live as intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.

  • To be a catalyst of parish evangelization efforts.

WHAT ARE WE ABOUT

  • The focus of the group is twofold. On one hand, we strive to connect young adults (ages 20-39, single and married, Catholic and non-Catholic) from the parish and beyond with the mission of Jesus Christ and His Church. On the other hand, we seek to foster a friendly atmosphere to promote the mutual encouragement of Christian life among members of the group.

  • We strive to reach young adults through prayer, study, fellowship, service and faith sharing.

ACTIVITIES

  • Our monthly meeting is on Tuesday nights from 7-8 PM at Saint Agnes Church. We meet in the parish center for a discussion or speaker.

  • In addition to monthly meetings, we come together for a wide variety of events such as social gatherings, community outreach, retreats, and athletic events.

  • Other activities are planned throughout the year depending on the interests of the group.
